No, no. Karl Koller wasn´t in Wolfsschanze when the bomb exploded. The general you´re talking about was Günther Korten, he was replaced after his death by Werner Kreipe as Chef der Generalstabs der Luftwaffe and the last Chef was Karl Koller (12 Nov 1944-8 May 1945).

Hi!
It was, of course, Korten who died of his wounds after July 20, however Koller was there in his capacity as Chief of the LW Operations Staff, was wounded and was awarded the Verwundetenabzeichen 20.07.1944 in Schwarz. Source: ABR

Model, you are right.
But I' m sure, the general ritterpanzer has to ask was Korten. Ritterpanzer and myself were both mistaken with the name.

purpose for the New Year:
we will become better (and older :D )

There were 25 people in the room where the bomb exploded but not Koller. So where was he in this moment? Somewhere outside?

Koller was definitively not in the "Führerbaracke" when the bomb exploded. Therefore he could not receive the special wound badge.
The Luftwaffe-officers were:
General der Flieger Korten, General der Flieger Bodenschatz, Oberst i.G. Nicolaus von Below, Major i.G. Herbert Büchs (later Generalleutnant/Bundesluftwaffe).

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL

I cannot find the text at this time, but I read that Koller was actually in Paris, he threatened von Stülpnagel with having the Luftwaffe troops under his command to intervene if the latter did not withdraw his orders for the arrests of SS-, Police and Gestapo officials, as von Kluge had ordered him. I don't know why Koller would have been in Paris though, as his posting at the time does not provide a basis for that.

Never during my years studying the German resistance to Hitler and the nazis, the assassination attempt and the uprising have I ever come across the claim that Koller was present in the conference room when the bomb exploded on 20 July, 1944.

Generaloberst Günther Korten was there though, some sources say he was crushed by a wood column and some sources say he was impaled by a jagged table fragment. He died on 22 July, 1944.

Others severly injured, who eventually died from their wounds were:
Oberst (GS) Heinz Brandt who lost a leg, and died on 21 July. He was posthumously promoted to Generalmajor on 22 July.

Generalleutnant Rudolph Schmundt who lost a leg and an eye, and died on 1 October. He was promoted to General der Infanterie on 1 September.

Dr. Heinrich Berger who lost both legs and was killed on the spot.

If Koller wasn't present at Hitlers HQ when the bomb went off in July 1944 why does it say in "Die Generale der deutschen Luftwaffe" by Hildebrand under Karl Koller:
"20.07.1944 - 31.10.1944 - beim Attentat vom 20.7.1944 verletzt/Lazarett/Führerreserve"
I'm confused I believe this translates to: wounded on 20.07.1944 in hospital from 20.07.1944 until 31.10.1944

Help!!

Koller wasn't present at Hitlers HQ when the bomb went off in July 1944. The information by Bradley / Hildebrand is wrong !!

Thanks,
It seems to me that there is a Star in the center of the Badge (for one Observer Badge)
and add Kroatian Pilot Bagde.
Who is this other man ?
