Is that Sporrenberg at the back? I think it might be.

Oh, bloody... you beat me to it. Yes, spot-on, old chap- Sporrenberg minus doubt.

I don't know what occasion he would have for being in Norway in 1945 (the year this photo was taken, I believe), but that sure looks like Gauleiter Karl Kaufmann toward the left (in SS uniform). And maybe- but only a half-hearted maybe- Wilhelm Rediess immediately behind his co-suicidist Terboven? ( you won't find "co-suicidist" in any dictionary, I just made it up).

Right again Mike. Kaufmann and Rediess. My glass is empty!

Interesting to note that of the four bona fide mass murderers in the photo, four committed suicide.

Just a shot in the dark here, and he was usually (if not always) photographed in SS unifom, but could the NSDAP official be Georg Wilhelm Müller ("Müller-Oslo")? See http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... Cller+oslo for further discussion of this individual.

Best,
~ Mike

The Müller in your photograph is Heinirch "Gestapo" Müller.

Hi!

The pic posted by Mike has been often been erroneously identified as "Gestapo" Müller, but if you look at the link Mike refers to above, you'll see that it is indeed Georg Wilhelm Müller ("Müller-Oslo").

Regards,

VJK

Nice late war shots of the leading personalities in Norway. Quisling doesn't look like a happy chappy does he?

Another admiral in the background. Any idea who he is?
