There are six men from this unit in the "Vermisstbildlisten" (FP 187),four of whom went missing about Jan. or Feb. 45 near Pr. Eylau in East Prussia. I can only find one possible reference to this unit suggesting that it was an "independent" unit and then attached to 168. ID in 1943.

what Feldpost-number? 187???????

also you misread the the "Vermisstbildlisten" - they didnt name the missingplaces - just only the place where the last letter came from

Fair enough. If this unit was operating near Preußisch Eylau, whether town or district, I'm interested in knowing more about it. The Feldpost number isn't listed.

Uwe, in this case 'FP 187' is the number of the Vermisstbildlisten.
