According to one source, there were two batteries of the "leichte Flak-Abteilung 743" stationed in Ljubljana, at least in September/October 1943. Can anyone confirm this, and how long were the batteries stationed here? There is one partisan intelligence report, speaking of several Flak guns across Ljubljana, with a barrel length of about 1,5 m (I assume they were describing 3,7 cm Flak guns). Would le. Flak Bat. be equipped with such guns?
Thanks for any help!
Regards,
Klemen

2cm and 3,7cm would be normal.
This is a bit later in early 1945:
A good shot at light FLAK battery in Šmarje captured in guncamera of a Beufighter Mk X.
Just beneath the LH stick of RP's you can see a light FLAK crewman running to his gun position next to Šmarje train station.
IRRC his son in law said in interview that gunner seen running was already shooting at him when he was over him and hit him resulting in him ditching the plane.
When this album became public knowlege in Slovenia in early 2013 (flurry of Emails to the site) as result of posting the link it on our scale modeling forum and everybody starting to find their or parents villages or towns (including me), there was a short TV article on 24ur TV interviewing witnesses and his son in law and flying a sport plane making the same shots seen on his guncamera footage. Check their archive to find the article.
