Not, maybe in future.
Re: Let's Build SS-Panzer-Brigade "Gross"
Philipp, Güstav 28.3.12 Ustuf. Pz.Brig. Gross
I don't think he actually served with Brigade 'Gross' since he was KIA before the Brigade was actually formed.
I found this on the VDK-site:
Nachname: Philipp
Vorname: Gustav Hermann Curt
Dienstgrad: Untersturmführer
Geburtsdatum: 28.03.1912
Geburtsort: Hamburg
Todes-/Vermisstendatum: 07.08.1944
Todes-/Vermisstenort: Kandau/Kandava(Latvia)
Greetings, Mike

Re: Let's Build SS-Panzer-Brigade "Gross"
Mike DC - What you say is NOT correct. According to Kleitmann's book, "Die Waffen-SS" SS-Pz Brigade Groß was formed in the summer of 1944 and saw action in the Tuckum area in late July and early August. This is consistent with casualties from the end of July 1944 that the Deutsche Dienststelle confirmed to me as belonging to the Inf.Btl.1 . Don't believe all the BS that you see on the Internet.
