Hello Ponomarenko :D; this is what I could find over there................

Shepetovka. 12.01.1944 - 13.01.1944

General Wirtz (CO 96 ID) sent the following report to the 4. Pz AOK:

Enemy situation: Russians with strong armor and infantry forces marched north and south of the railway line Rovno - Berdichev. According to latest reports coming from own reconnaissance and patrols, besides Luftwaffe reconnaissance squadrons, the enemy was to attack with main effort in the north section of the Division eastwards of Chrolin, in the south was to knock just south of the road Polonnoje-Shepetovka , further in Rogowitschi, Scheludki, and Adamówka Kochanówka, north of the creek Chomora.

Own situation: 96 ID has orders to attack towards Rogowitschi with Grenadier-Regiment 284 (GR 284) to the right, with Grenadier Regiment 287 (GR 287) on the left. The II Battalion of GR 283 and Füsilier-Bataillon 291, from the 291. Infanterie-Division (291. ID), were to protect the endangered Northern flank at Sawitschi.

To the left rather loose contact with the 291. Inf.Div. (Oberst Eckholt), characterized by heavy battles fighting in retreat from Korosten by Novograd Volynsk with guerrillas and Russian tanks to Shepetovka.
