I think, here we talking about Sturmbrigade „Nord” in HGr. „Nord" formerly commanded by Oberst Kopp. Actually Oberst Kopp was commander of Brigade Gruppe Nord on the Narva front. Division zbV 300 (at this time abouth 10600 men) was devided to 2 brigades Brigade Gruppe Nord and Brigade Gruppe Süd.
Division fought against soviet`s 8th Army from late springs to autumn 1944 on line of river Narva - from Vasknarva (on South at outlets of river Narwa to lake Peipus) to rivers Porkuni and farther in direction of town Putki (on Nord). Regiments of Grenzschutz became decimated, and remainders one included to 20. SS-Div.

Thank You.
I'm content with Your answer.
I found this „Assault-Brigade Narwa” in the Biography of Arthur Kopp (http://www.geocities.com/~orion47/WEHRM ... RTHUR.html). Did the Estonians the Division z.b.V. 300 serve?

Re: Sturmbrigade "Narwa"
Hi,
Looking at the files in NARA T312 R1632 (Armeegruppe Narva - KTB 5, 6, Anlagen) I find in June 1944 a couple of Tagesmeldungen regarding St. Regiment Narwa. On 21-6-1944 on, it is (on one page) named St. Br. Narwa.
On 21-6-1944 e.g. it consisted of:
3 7,5 cm PAK
6 8,8 cm PAK (+ 1 in repair)
3 5 cm PAK
5 Pz. V (strangely assigned to 4.SS-Freiw.Pz.Gr.Br. Nederland)
7 Pz. IV (1 belonging to Nordland; 5 to Pz.B.285)
19 StuG and 9 StuH (belonging to St.Br.303)
There are much more Tagesmeldungen on this NARA roll.
Regards Bram

Re: Sturmbrigade "Narwa"
Wasn't it StuG.Br. 303. The brigade was transferred to Finland only a few days later.BramvanS wrote:19 StuG and 9 StuH (belonging to St.Br.303)

Re: Sturmbrigade "Narwa"
The file says St.Br.. Definitely StuG Brigade 303 was meant. I think the German authors weren't always that consistent in using abbreviations.

Hello friends,
I recently received a few photos with captions.
The pictures are labeled on the back with Sturmbrigade Narva.
These are private recordings and my guess is that they are the news company 701 d (mot.).
Greetings Heiko
