Jan-Willem,

Have you tried "Feldherrnhalle: Forgotten Elite" by Alfonso Escuadra Sanchez?

If you are looking for any specific info, let me know and I will check my copy of that book.

thanks .
but the book is about the early years '42-'43.
I' m looking for the last year 45. First they had a fight in budapest.
Then they had a large tank battle in the Brno-Olomouc area in april - may 1945.
Do you have info about that??

Jan-Willem,

Actually that is a typo on the cover! That book covers the whole war and not just 1942-1943.

Hi,

actually there is a great book about the seige of Budapest, its called "Budapest Ostroma" or Seige of Budapest translated to english by Krisztian Ungvary, but unfortunately for you it's in Hungarian. But, I can give you feedback about FHH during its battles in Hungary, but I'd like to know what you're interested in in particular.

Oh, I forgot. Before the unit's destruction in Budapest, Feldherrnhalle actually wasn't a panzer division but a panzer grenadier. You would find the division a panzer in Marcus's factbook, but indeed that's because the confusion on the eastern front in 44-45. It didn't become a panzer until its reorganization (from the kgr. Pape, the parts of the division not in Budapest).
