Hi,
Nafziger does not mention 339. Infanterie-Division. However, it seems that the unit existed for about 3 years (40-43).
Does anyone have info on this unit, and why do you think Nazfiger has left it out.
(On top of the mistake regarding 11PzDiv, this is getting annoying! )
Addendum: Perhaps it is the unit he calls "339th Static Infantry Division"

339.Inf.Div.
Hello Snorre!
339.Inf.Div. was formed as Infanteriedivision 14.Welle in November 1940.
It was destroyed at H.Gr.Süd in 1943 and used to form the 363.Inf.Div. of 21.Welle.
regards,
Christoph

I agree that Nafziger has no logical reason for leaving certain units out, other than maybe constraints placed upon him by time & money (Just a guess).
A much maligned book is Samuel Mitchams "Hitlers Legions" German OOB in WW2. This book has been superceded over the years by other publications, but has always proved a good start point. Oh and it does contain info on 339th Infantry Division. Mitchum 1 Nafziger 0
