W-SS unit Prinz von Paulos

Has anybody heared of W-SS unit (I presume Btl.) Prinz von Paulos (or Prinz von Paulus)? My proffesor has interviewed a member of this unit, but she said, that he (member) died some years ago. The unit was formed of Slovenes and Volksdeutscher from Kočevje region of Slovenia. They fought against the jugoslav partisan's in Slovenia.

hey i think a buddy from my grandma served in this unit because he is also a volksdeutscher from this region (slovenia somewhere)
i will call him and will share the info's.

Christian, that would be great.
I was shocked, when my proffesor told me for this unit. I know for a SS-Sturm-Btl., formed from Volksdeutscher in Kočevje-region. I could be the same unit.

sorry i made a mistake

he is not a Volksdeutscher from this region but he is from Siebenbürgen (Romania) ... he never served in any Waffen-SS regiment.
He was in the Wehrmacht at Russia (Wolga) got into inprisonment 1943 near Stalingrad.

I suppose that you don't know the fate about this Waffen-SS unit called Prinz von Paulos? Did it made it through the end of WWII in May of 1945?

I cannot find anything about a SS unit Name ,,Prinz von Paulus"!? Maybe she meant ,,Prinz Eugen"...
