Hello,

I'm gathering info on the 7th Panzer Division from 22nd June (invasion of Russia) until the end of 1941. In particular the 25th Panzer Regiment. Any and all info is much appreciated. I would love to make contact with any veterans from the 7th Panzer.

Cheers Andy, I've already seen that info, I have general details, what I need is more detailed info such as listings of major engagements, losses suffered in each, Russian units they faced, where the division was on each day, that kinda detail.

I've got the war diary of 7th panzer from 22nd June 41 till end of december 41 which should be very useful, I'm having it translated as my German is lousy. What I'm after is detailed info on the major engagements of 7th Panzer and any other snippets anyone may have to fill out the basic details the diary contains. I'm trying to get hold of Hasso von Manteuffels History of the divison but i can only find the illustrated version. If anyone has any pictures of 7th Panzer in 1941 I'd love to see them tho.

I'm not really sure what info might be out there so I'm not sure what to ask for, just anything on 7th panzer in 1941, as I'm attempting a detailed analysis of how they managed to get from the Polish border to 17 miles short of Moscow.

Perhaps my best hope is to contact some veterans of 7th Panzer, does anyone know of any verterans or how to locate them?
