This period book "Kreta - Sieg Der Kuehnsten" has a heap of very good photos inside.

I have one with the original dust cover, and one without, interesting too, the different para badge
detail on the splinter pattern hard cover.

There use to be a photo on the net that showed the bodies of two fallschirmjäger in a room of a house in Crete who had been tortured and murdered. This image does not appear any more. Is that because it gives a "human face" to the Germans who died such an awful death? Is it because ALL Germans were evil Nazis, so they deserved to die. What ever the local Greeks did to those two paras was nothing short of pure evil.
