The link doesn't work, but you can see it if you type in the address manually for some reason.

Geocities is a horrible site when it comes to image-hosting.

No, it is only visible if you first have seen it at Geocities, as it then is save in the cache of the browser, for those (like me) who have not seen it at Geocities, it only shows up as an [X].

This is not the road leading from Villers-Bcage to point 213. The RN175 is straight without any bends from V-B to point 213 and is lined by thin trees not thick hedges as shown here.It also seems to be bisected by another road, the RN175 isnt. It may be some other road in the area but it is not the road where The Rifle Brigade lost its Carriers/Half-Tracks and 4th CLY lost 'A' Squadron to SS 101's Tigers on June 13th ,1944.

You are very welcome to send it to me - do you still have my e-mail adress?

I believe it's a common 'problem' that geocities, tripod, and all other free servers don't allow external linking - but on the other hand, it could really stress their servers...
If you get a pay account at Geocities and tripod, you may link externally...

Thanks for sending the photo Tolga Alkan. The photo doesn't look like any of the area around Villers Bocage. Check the maps out in Daniel Taylors' book, the photo doesn't match up to any of the roads going into or out Villers Bocage from any direction. Also the terrain around Villers Bocage is mostly open fields and ochards, there is some small woods here and there around it. The trees along most of the main roads into Villers Bocage are young growth.
