I get what genstab says. AK is rolled into the two AGs with the smaller appellation taking over the larger.

I would also note that our very own Axis History Fact Book says
I beg your pardon, but the info quoted by you is outdated and partially wrong. I respectfully refer to this past dicussion in the ABR forum. Aside from the commanders, it is commonly known that the war in North Africa ended on 13 May 1943, so I cannot imagine where the date of 16 May could possibly originate from.
There are times in history when staying neutral means taking sides.
