It’s my understanding that the Germans used white phosphorus but that it was available in comparatively limited quantities, when one looks at the western allies use of it.
Is this true ?
Does anyone have examples of German munitions that were WP ?
German use of White Phosphorus
Re: German use of White Phosphorus
Hello!
The Luftwaffe used a number of incendiary bombs that contained Phosphorus:
Brandbombe B-10
Flüssigkeitsbrandbombe Brand C-50 A
Flüssigkeitsbrandbombe Brand C-50 B
Flüssigkeitsbrandbombe Brand C-250 A
Streubrandbombe Streubrand C-500
There was also a 7.92×57 round (PmK - Phosphor mit Kern) against balloons. And some of the smoke shells for the le.F.H. 18 must have contained Phosphorus as well as there were attempts to create Phosphorus-Free shells in 1944.

Re: German use of White Phosphorus
It looks like it was more intended as a incendiary type of application as opposed to the way the Allies used it
