Post by Comms » 29 Sep 2018, 23:29

I'm looking for information on the operations of the 59. Infanterie-Division (General Poppe) in the Netherlands in the period of september and october 1944. Or more specifically on the Grenadier Regimenter 1034, 1035 and 1036.
Unit diaries or any other information (pictures) is also welcome.
Thank you!

Hello jpz4,

Yes I've read that book. Although it is detailed about the events of the 59th Inf. Div. in this period, for my investigation it is not detailed enough!!
I'm looking for the events in the area of Schijndel, Boxtel, Sint-Michielsgestel and Gemonde (Noord-Brabant).Because these regiments were in this area almost from the start of Market Garden until the start of Operation Colin by the 51th Highland Division on the 23rd of october 1944. So that's why my question about these regiments and any written of photographic proof of them being in that specific area.
Thanks!
