Help with Identifying unit from Erkennungsmarke

#1

Post by JBall » 07 Jun 2019, 01:02

Hello I am trying to identify a unit from documentation I have listing a Erkennungsmarke for a German soldier. It is listed as 2./Ers.Btl.SS 6. Would I be correct that this is 2nd Kompanie of the training battalion for 6th SS Division-Nord? Timeframe would have been May of 1943. Thank you for any information you may have.

For Nord in 1943 I might have expected to see it as 2/SS-Feldersatz-Bataillon 6, but from what you have written it sounds as though it could be for the 2nd Kompanie as you correctly guessed.
