Hello,
I found opposing definitions of the role of a Id in a German staff during WWII.
Some sources indicate he was in charge of the supplies (Versorgung), others that he was the training officer (Ausbildung).
If the first task was the good one, what was the difference with the Oberquartiermeister (O.Qu.) and the second staff officer (Qu. 1 or Ib)?

Re: Id tasks in a staff
The Id was the training officer and worked closely with the Ia.
The Ib was the Quartiermeister.
The Ib was the Quartiermeister.
