Hans Werner Kissel KIA
I am looking for information on a Hans Werner Kissel who was KIA in late 1941. His father was Dr. Wilhelm Kissel who was the head of Mercedes Benz at this time. I am sorry but this is the only information I have on him, if anybody could help with anything I would be most grateful. Thanks

Re: Hans Werner Kissel KIA
Hello to all ; just two cents..................................
Hans Werner Kissel.
From a Wehrpass of a Leutnant Kompanieführer KIA 43: In November 1941, his nephew Hans-Werner, the son of his uncle Wilhelm, died in the fighting for Skirminowa as Gefreiter. This young soldier, who was only 21 years and 8 days old, is still in his field grave. Hans-Werner's death caused a shock wave to the family and Wilhelm, his father, committed suicide six months after his death. Other sources speak of a heart attack, although this cause of death may be, due to its position in an important branch of the war industry at the time, was "adjusted" by those in power.
AFAIK the unit fighting in that area was the 10. Pz.........
