Hello,
Does anyone know exactly when this regimental staff was deployed in Romania? I'm quite sure it was a few weeks prior to "Barbarossa", but I need something more specific (first half of May 1941? Last week of March?).
Any details about this unit are welcome (who was its CO? Where was located its HQ in Romania? Where were deployed its subordinated battalions [Landesschützen-Bataillon 235, 514 and 563], etc.).
Thank you!
Regards,

Hola!
According to the Wehrmachtsmission-Befehl Nr. 5 from 6th March 1941 Ldsch.Rgts.-Stab z.b.V. 108 was planned to depart Germany on 11th March.
Ldsch.Rgts.-Stab z.b.V. 108 was to be based in Ploesti,
Ldsch.Btl. 235 in Bukarest and Giurgiu,
Ldsch.Btl. 514 in Ploesti,
Ldsch.Btl. 563 in Constanza, Cornavoda and Fetesti.
Additionally Lehr-Wach-Kp. 608 in Breaza was to be subordinated to Ldsch.Rgts.-Stab z.b.V. 108.
Hope that helps.

DirkAH,
Actually, that's pretty excellent!
I found indeed that two companies from Landesschützen-Bataillon 563 were protecting the Danube bridges in Cernavoda and Fetesti mid-June 1941.
Concerning Lehr-Wach-Kompanie 608, it was the designation of the "Brandenburger" unit from Abwehr/Ausland deployed in Romania to protect the oilfields there. Its subordination to the Landesschützen-Regiment zbV 108 was a purely administrative one.
Thank you very much for that!

After further research, I can add that the regiment with its three battalions moved in Romania with the "Rosenkavalier" railway movement in the first half of March 1941.
