I'm sure many of us are familiar with the classification of German personnel as 'k.v.' (kriegsverwendungsfähig), 'g.v.F.' (garnisonsverwendungsfähig Feld) and 'g.v.H' (garnisonsverwendungsfähig Heimat). I however continue to have trouble finding the regulations which put someone in either one of these categories. Does anyone know where I can find an overview of the regulations which determined how someone was classified?

I think you need:
Anleitung zur Untersuchung Wehrpflichtiger und Freiwilliger für die Wehrmacht vom 20. März 1935,
which includes:
H. Dv. 252 (Heer)
L. Dv. 399 (Luftwaffe)
M. Dv. 248 (Marine)

All the exact requirements are in Teil III - Fehlertabellen
