Hello.
SS-Jagverband Mitte did receive its final designation 10th.November 44. Before it was SS-Jäger Bataillon 502. CO was SS-Haupsturmführer Fucker. 5th Company of Mitte was send to Skorzeny's 150th Panzerbrigade. At the end of January 45 Mitte and Nordwest were send to Oder and they fought in Schwedt.
In early April 45 Mitte survivers were send to Austria (some 250 men). They ended their war there.
SS-Jagverband Südost was commanded by Major Auch. SS-Untersturmführer Schreiber was CO of SS-Jagdeinsatz Donau and they mission was to float some barges via Danube to supply besieged Budapest. However their mission failed and few men survived of original 30.
Einsatzgruppe Rumänien was 70 man strong and they were parachuted to Romania. Additional 175 men were staioned in Stockerau and Hollabrunn. CO was Waffen-Sturmbannführer Toba.
Südost fought also in Zagreb area and later did fighting withdrawal through Austria.
SS-Jagverband Ost was commanded by SS-Sturmbannführer Adrian von Foelkersam.

Re: SS-Jagdverband
Gentlemen,
Sometimes I wonder if that German Waffen-SS officer with that weird awful sounding last name, was ever made fun at by his own soldiers at all just because of the his last name. American soldiers certainly gave that German officer a very hard time about his last name indeed! I'm surprised that German officer didn't change his last name at all!
Sincerely,
Edward L. Hsiao

Re: SS-Jagdverband
Hi!
Is any deutch, flames or belgian SS volunteer by name indentified who served in the Jagdverband units known?
On the foia in the cia files there are released much documentation related to Jagdverband, statements from Karl Rudl, Skorzeny, Walter Girg and others.
I am interesting in identifying indivudual members of the unit as I have with my fellow norwegians.

Re: SS-Jagdverband
Flemisch volunteers in Jagdverband.
It could be possible that the unit name is not 100 % correct
Sturmmann Beuckels Pieter 11.07.1926 - 09.05.1945 1e Zug 2e Gruppe 1./SS Jagdverband "Nordwest" 502 / ausbilder / was killed during training
Schütze Callens Ivan 03.03.1926 - 25.04.1945 Schwedt-Oder / SS Jagdverband "Nordwest" 502
Schütze Cauwenberghs Albert 10.09.1910-08.01.1945 Drimmmeln (NL) / SS Jagdverbände Führungsstab (SS Jäg. Btl. 502) / his chute didn't open
De Backer Paul 28.01.1922-00.03.1944 / SS Jagdverband "Nordwest" 502

Any information about Flemisch in German service (Waffen SS, OT, NSKK, Kriegsmarine, DRK, ...) during WWII is welcome.
