I had no idea there was a Jagdverband-Einsatzgruppe Skandinavien and Denmark. Can anyone tell me how large these units were and any other information? My guess is that many of the members of the two units were Volksdeutsche from southern Denmark, Danish speaking Germans from just south of the Danish border and of course other volunteers from all three Scandinavian countries.

Hello,
I believe this individual was also part of the same unit, any ideas?
Can one trace his war time activities?

According to Karl Radl, Skorzeny's adjutant, SS-Jagdverband Süd-Ost included among other units 80-100 men from "Streifkorps Slowakei". From this the Jagd Einsatz Slowakei was established under its commander SS-Ostuf Dr Walter Pawlowsky.
In early April 1945 this unit was "committed with Tk. Corps" - whoever and wherever that was.

No SSO for Herbert Herdlitzka.

SS-Jagdverband (Friedenthal, RSHA VI S)
to
SS-Jagdverband Süd-Ost
down to
Jagd Einsatz Slowakei
(there was also Jagd Einsatz Rumanien, Ungarn and Kroatien under SS-Jgvb Süd-Ost)

Thank you Steve.
So though he is indicated in the attachment as part of the SS unit, nothing was found on him?
What does SSO mean?
Can anything be located on him?

SSO = SS-Officer file (available in Berlin and Washington).
For more information on Herbert Herdlitzka you will probably need to contact Deutsche Dienststelle in Berlin (do not expect a reply for months) and secondly you might ask DOEW Wien whether they have information about him.
If you write to both put in all the stuff on the line you quoted.
