pre Operation Crusader Kriegsgliederung reports

I'm looking for the 1/11/41 or 1/10/41 or 1/9/41 Kriegsgliederung reports for the German divisions/DAK/PGA level units in North Africa as close as possible to the start of Operation Crusader on 18/11/41. The divisions being 21st Panzer Division, 15th Panzer Division, Division z.b.V Afrika.

I have similar files that I have for early 1944 for units in the west that I am happy to share.

From various sources I have gleaned the following information so far in relation to the infantry battalions in those divisions, (which may not be accurate):

z.b.V Arika
155th Regiment - 3 battalions each with 54 LMGs, 18 light anti-tank rifles, 12 81mm mortars, 6 75mm light infantry guns, 8 HMGs
III/IR/255 - 54 LMGs, 18 light anti-tank rifles, 8 HMGs
III/IR/347 - 45 LMGs, 18 light anti-tank rifles, 12 81mm mortars, 12 HMGs
361st Regiment - 2 battalions each with 54 LMGs, 6 HMGs

21st Panzer Division
104th Regiment - 2 battalions each with 58 LMGs, 6 HMGs, 15 81mm mortars, 3 37mm anti-tank guns, 2 50mm anti-tank guns, 1 heavy anti-tank rifle
8th Machinegun Battalion - 5 LMGs, 36 HMGs, 9 50mm mortars, 6 81mm mortars, 9 light anti-tank rifles, 14 50mm anti-tank guns

15th Panzer Division
115th Regiment - 2 battalions each with 58 LMGs, 9 50mm mortars, 6 81mm mortars, 14 HMGs, 3 37mm anti-tanks guns, 2 50mm anti-tank guns, 1 heavy anti-tank rifle
200th Motorcycle Battalion - 56 LMGs, 14 HMGs, 9 50mm mortars, 6 81mm mortars, 7 light anti-tank rifles, 6 37mm anti-tank guns
2nd Machinegun Battalion - 2 LMGs, 36 HMGs, 9 50mm mortars, 6 81mm mortars, 9 light anti-tank rifles, 5 37mm anti-tank guns, 3 50mm anti-tank guns

Thanks very much.

For the 7 infantry battalions in Division z.b.V Afrika does anybody know if they were organised against motorised infantry KStNs or against 'normal' infantry KStNs?

Thanks.

Neil

I can offer the DAK's armored vehicle status for 30.12.41, if that's any help, (Soll, Ist, Fehl).

I'll say "Yes" even if no one else does!

Neil, I got your message, sorry to not get back sooner. I'm afraid though I've not seen anything on this point either. I would likewise suspect the units involved were motorised to a degree, and the description in the Axis History Factbook does note several Regiments as 'mot'.

https://www.axishistory.com/list-all-ca ... a-division

I've not seen any Gliederung charts for late 1941, through to early/mid 1942 either.
