Tessin mentions a "Division C" in 1943 that did not complete formation; it was supposed to be a bodenständige division.

There is also mention of a Feldersatz division "C" formed twice, once in 1941 and then in 1942. Both instances had five regiments.

Cheers

Feldersatz-Division C and Division C are two completely different formations. Division C is referenced to the 385. Infanterie-Divsion.

Still no OB for Division C. Referenced to 385.ID meaning they both had same OB?
Thanks,
AHK

IIRC, Divisionen A to E were static divisionen raised in Summer 1943 that became 242. to 245. Infanterie-Divisionen:
- Division "A": 242. Infanterie-Division;
- Division "B": 243. Infanterie-Division;
- Division "D": 245. Infanterie-Division;
- Division "E": 244. Infanterie-Division.

Division "C" was scheduled but its set up was interrupted in August 1943 and it was never been formed: https://www.axishistory.com/list-all-ca ... division-c
