20 May 1940 7 Panzer Division Arras

Hello all,

I am researching the war activities of the German fighter unit II./Jagdgeschwader 3 "Udet". On 20 May 1940 this unit claimed her first victories during the war: three allied fighters that were strafing German troops near Arras at about 16.35 hours (German time). Allied sources state that three Hurricanes of 85 RAF Squadron did not return whilst strafing German troops advancing Cambrai-Arras road. At that time 7. Panzer Division was active near Arras.

Can anybody confirm which German units were attacked by these allied fighters on 20 May 1940 near Arras? And do German army records state more info on this incident? Thank you.

Unfortunately NARA rolls for early war 7.PzD are not available on John's FTP server, you'll have to ask in Archive section how to get them.
https://wwii.germandocsinrussia.org have detailed daily losses for every sub-unit of 7.PzD, but on late afternoon / early evening on May 20th, they were hit by British tanks, so that where majority of losses would come from, not from air attack.
