Ludwig Mückl record

#1

Post by army group south » 30 Aug 2021, 20:24

I am wondering if anyone has more of a record of Ludwig Mückl military record and movements, specifically which unit he went to Metz with in 1944. Previously, I know he was a part of the SS-cavalry, but what unit would he have gone to Metz and finished out the war with?…

You can read more about Mückl in my "Nachrichtenoffiziere der Waffen-SS" publication. I personally knew him and met him at a Treffen of the SS-Kavallerie in Sonthofen in 1995. I am on vacation in France at the moment and can't provide any further details.

Hi John,

Thanks for your response, hope you are enjoying France. Can you send me a PM with more info on how to get a hold of your book please. Very interested in Mückl and his movements after the Cavalry as my Opa too was transferred west in September 1944 I think. Thanks S
