Kriegserinnerungen bewahren / Preserve war memories.
The main topic of this blog is how war veterans deal with their experiences and memories. One problem with documenting the experiences of these eyewitnesses is that they will soon only exist as written or digital sources. The contemporary witnesses become less and less. Unfortunately, I feel that hardly any young people are still interested in these experiences. All the more I was surprised by an inquiry and a call from Eric Dennemann, who, together with other committed people from the younger generation in the Netherlands, is concerned with the memory of the time of the Second World War. To this end, they have set up a foundation called Oorlogsherinneringen (translated into German as "War Memories").
