Luftnachrichten-Abteilung Fallschirmjäger-Division 2, info needed

Hi all,

I'd like to find data about the Luftnachrichten-Abteilung Fallschirmjäger-Division 2 (renamed Fallschirm-Luftnachrichten-Abteilung 2 in Jan.1944), during its period in Italy (Rome) (about July-Sept 1943).
Actions, OOB, commander....

Any info is apreciated

Hello, Joda.

Erich Busch in his "Die Fallschirmjäger-Chronik 1935-1945" (1983) gives an OOB from when the 2. Fallschirmjäger-Division was created in early 1943 in Bretagne, France. There Busch states the following:

"Fallschirm-Nachrichten-Abteilung 2 unter Hauptmann Mehler."

Unfortunately Busch gives no other information on this unit, nor it's commander...
