Waffenfarbe and nomenclature in AA 13 (mot)

I have always assumed from reading in the dim and distant past, in long-forgotten tomes, that in 1939 the waffenfarbe of all reconnaissance battalions (aufkl abt) was goldgelb (golden yellow) with an 'A' monogram and the number of the unit below. In a discussion of 13 AA (mot) (the reconnaissance unit of 13 Motorised Infantry Division) this assumption was brought into question with kupferbraun (copper brown) and rosa (rose pink) being proposed as alternatives.

At the same time my assumption (based principally upon the work of Niehorster) was that the motorcycle and armoured car subunits of 13 AA were designated as squadrons (Schwadron) rather than company (Kompanie). This too has been challenged.

Is there any primary evidence supporting or refuting these assumptions?

FWIW. In his work on motorized and armored units, Rolf Stoves refers to the subunits as squadrons.
