Thanks Gents

These were my thoughts as well. Does anyone know what they actually had? I mostly interested in the end of the war.

Cheers

Hello
Thanks
Unfortunately I don't have the book.
Can you get the name?
I have 100 more names of the 2. Company. Many I don't know what they have done. Or first name and rank are missing.

regards Jan

The photo shows several swedish volounteers, I dont have the names for all, so I am unsure if Wahlström is amongst the group. But the tall man with dust googles is Ragnar Johansson II (KIA Berlin, 1/2.5.45)

Hello,

H-G. Pehrsson is said to have been sent to a training course after his promotion to SS-Ostuf. on 21.06.44 and the command was assumed by Hermann Ahrens, SS-Ostuf. Does anyone know the exact date when Ahrens took command of the 3./AA 11 or even better, when the course started, where it was being held and when Pehrsson left the course?

Hi!

The information available to me states that Pehrsson returned and assumed command of 3. Kompanie again on 2. August 1944, after finishing early from a course he attended. I have no indications of where he went or what course he attended, but is it possible he attended a Kompanie-Führer-Lehrgang?

My files are sketchy at best and I am in the process of analyzing the information I have. But what I have noted is that Ahrens was killed in action on 20. July 1944 and that Pehrsson then took over the company on this date. If the book is correct then there must have been a temporary commander between 20. July and 2. August. I have no further details at the moment.

Best regards
Blanusa

Hello,

I have also had the suspiscion that another man must have been Kp.fhr. between 20.7.44 and 2.8.44, however not a swede, as no swedish SS-officer was in the 3./AA 11 between those dates (What is known to me). What makes me curious about the course is the fact that Pehrsson was with the company when they were sent to Latvia, so my suspiscions is:
1. He participated in the course, which started sometime after 12.7.44, and returned when Ahrens was killed.
2. The course ended previous to 12.7.44, and Pehrsson served as Zugführer during the combat in Latvia, and assumed the command of the company once again directly after the death of Ahrens on 20.7.44.
