I remember seeing that second picture Wiking5th. I think he was identified. Could anyone correct me if I'm wrong?
And the first pic is wonderful Wiking5th, I like those 'in action' photos. Many thanks for posting it.
Best regards.

In wiking5th's third picture (soldiers in rubble strewn street with tank from kocjo's collection) what sort of tank is that? It looks like a t-34 but the gun seems huge. Is it a t34 with 85mm cannon or an IS2? I'm not very good with IDing tanks.

The last pic with Pz.Kpw II and SS men in woods are most likely men from SS.Division Nord.

The pic can been seen in page 97 in Kari Kuusela-Wehrmachtin Panssarit Suomessa/Panzers in Finland.

I am not sure (and my post may be BS indeed) but the gun looks more similar to a 85 mm than a 122 mm gun.

Thus the tank might be a KV85 or one of the early JS, which also had 85 mm guns?

BTW, Carell in the German version of "Scorched Earth" gives the SS soldiers in this picture as belonging to 8. SS division "Florian Geyer". Well, he is not the most reliable source  .

Best regards,
Michael
