Hi,

Have their's infamous beheaded picture, Sbf.Koch?
If so, would you like to send it by pm to me if the forum didn't give permission to put it in the site.

Best Regards

Bless the people who like to help others.

Hi, the pic that shows Stug III Ausf. G is not from Karstjager but from SS-Sturmbrigade RF-SS in Rome October 1943.
This unit in january 1944 was part of Kampgruppe "Dieterichs" that fought in Anzio.

Best Regards SENTIRE-PENSARE-VOLERE

The second picture, with the tropical eihnsfeldmutze, isn't regarding the Karstjager division but the surrending of the rearguard of Leibstandarte division close the city of Tarvis, near the italo-austrian border......infact the Karstjager Div. didn't had the divisional cufftitle like in the picture(look at the men with the shirmutze....)

Well all I know is that they were taken from a website dedicated to the Karstjäger, at least that part of the website.

Well, this shows you that personal researched knowledge is very important, helpful and more prescious than second hand information from websites for example. Always proof what you pass on!

As it has been said, the 2nd pic with 2 SS-Ostuf. are from LAH.The cufftitle is clearly to be seen and same pic is also in Leibstandarte Im Bild.

And IHMO there's a good chace that the first pic shows men of PE Division. There's just not many pics of Karstjäger available.

Cheers/Juha

Hi Drapeau noir, you can find some pics about SS-Karstjager in the book "Panzer units in the operationzone Adriatisches Kustenland (OZAK) 1943-1945" written by Stefano di Giusto and edited by Ed. della Laguna.
Text is in English/Italian.

Best regards. SENTIRE-PENSARE-VOLERE

PS: Sorry if there are not "Umlaut" in the right position, but my keyboard doesn't have it.

I think they were arrested and segregated in a small concentration camp(a building?)close to the border with Austria(the name of the place should be Mauthen):in the same camp few days later the english imprisoned Odilo Globocnik who few hours later killed himself and was buried not too far from over there,in an unknow grave near the Drava river.

Sorry for my english
