The second picture, with the tropical eihnsfeldmutze, isn't regarding the Karstjager division but the surrending of the rearguard of Leibstandarte division close the city of Tarvis, near the italo-austrian border......infact the Karstjager Div. didn't had the divisional cufftitle like in the picture(look at the men with the shirmutze....)

Well, this shows you that personal researched knowledge is very important, helpful and more prescious than second hand information from websites for example. Always proof what you pass on!Sbf.Koch wrote:Well all I know is that they were taken from a website dedicated to the Karstjäger, at least that part of the website.

Hi Drapeau noir, you can find some pics about SS-Karstjager in the book "Panzer units in the operationzone Adriatisches Kustenland (OZAK) 1943-1945" written by Stefano di Giusto and edited by Ed. della Laguna.
Text is in English/Italian.
Best regards. SENTIRE-PENSARE-VOLERE
PS: Sorry if there are not "Umlaut" in the right position, but my keyboard doesn't have it.

Thanks I know that,really nice.
I think they were arrested and segregated in a small concentration camp(a building?)close to the border with Austria(the name of the place should be Mauthen):in the same camp few days later the english imprisoned Odilo Globocnik who few hours later killed himself and was buried not too far from over there,in an unknow grave near the Drava river.Anzac wrote:I also have another pic...i think it was also taken at the same location as one of the pics above. What happened to the officers in these pics?..does anyone have any names?...i don't know how to upload the picture..its on my hard-drive.
Thanks
