Does anyone have a picture of what the SS officer's blood type tattoo looked like? Thanks...

Dr.,

May I ask: did you have to get one done? Was it compulsory? I know some SS didn’t have them.

Groeten.

Gr. HN

Didn't understand all fo what you wrote HaEn - but I assume you were saying yes, and telling something about the blodgroup being needed for wounded soldiers, so that immidiate help was possible?

I would think that Danish is close enough to have understood. FP is right, the tatoos were so the wounded could get help right away.

The biggest difference for me is "Je" instead of "U"; I guess I really was in a time-warp.

To Ferdinand and Birgitte. Sorry for answering in Dutch. When i got the "private" message from Ferdinant, signed "groeten" (greetings) I surmised he was Dutch, and answered as such. I did not realise that the answer would show up in the forum subject also. Mea Culpa ! Regards. HN.
