Many members of the SS had their blood type tattooed under their left underarm, 7cm long and 20cm up from the elbow.

There were 2 versions of the tattoo,
one in gothic letters and one in latin letters, I don't know which one occured the most
I also read that their Military ID number was on the tattoo, but I am not sure about that.

I Saw that in 2000 somebody in the forum had a photograph of it, I tried to contact him, but the email adress doesn't work anymore.
I am very interested in seeing a photo or picture of it.

Hi, All. ! How many times do we go over the same simple subject. There was NOTHING mystical about the "SS" tattoo. It was simply an indication of the bloodgroup to whcih the person belonged. It was NOT worn by SOME members, but mandatory for ALL members. There was NO number attached, or near it, Simple the bloodtype. If you can draw a capital A, or 0, or B, there you have it. It was not done artistically, just quick and dirty; as long as it was recognizable. Regards. HN.
