MY father served with the 1. Gebirgs division. I have photos of troops in the Caucases, includign Kluhor Valley. Will post soon.

Can you tell me wich summet this is? The glacier in the form of a seat has a very characteristic form. If he did not melt, or retreaded dramaticlyn, now more then 65 years later, we must be able to find that place by its glacier and peaks.

More of my father's Gebirgsjaeger photos.
These photos were printed on heavier paper and I have seen a couple of them posted elsewhere, which makes me think they were given to the soldiers as a set.

Sorry to take so long to post--I've been writing his memoir.

I would appreciate any comments on these photos. Thanks!
