so there was a lance corporal incharge of entire armies, im talkin bout the eastern front especially stalingrad!!??!


didnt he become general or sumin when he took ova the 5th army it hink it was?

It could be Generaloberst Alexander Löhr (if Austrians are counted).

Rudolfs Bangerskis from Latvia was SS-Gruppenführer und Generalleutnant der Waffen-SS and Emilio Esteban-Infantes Fernández from Spain was a Generalleutnant. If we do not count Austrians as they were officially Germans, these are the highest that come to my mind. Of course, there was Vlasov, but I am not sure if he can be counted as belonging to either Wehrmacht or Waffen-SS.

Correct is "Waffen-Brigadeführer und Generalmajor" [according SS-Personalakte 31.07.1944]!
