A rare image of an Indian Legion soldier being trained on the use of the Tiger Tank...
What the heck are you smoking?

Image

This Tiger belongs to the 502 battalion. It is deployed near Leningrad. That soldier is Russian or German. We're damn sure of this because only the 502 battalion marked up their Tigers in this way, and this specific Tiger has been identified in other photos from that sector.

I've been studying Tigers since 1992 and I've never heard of any involvement by Indian troops. Are you kidding us? Let's look at your claims...

A small number of Indian's were introduced to the Tiger Tank and how tank's functioned and learned how to move and fire over a 3 week period in late 1942.
OK, now I KNOW that you're posting lies. Maybe some Indian troops were sent up near Leningrad to look at Tigers, I can't prove otherwise, but I CAN depend on the physical features of the Tiger in the photo. The sequence of Tiger design changes is very well established. That Tiger did not serve for three weeks in "late 1942". It went into service in 1943 at the earliest !
