The UK National Archives lists five WWII-era War Office folders (WO 219/5293-5297) collectively titled "British and US Suspected Traitors (individual cases)." The files are physically held not by the Archives, but by the UK Ministry of Defense. Has anyone ever seen these files, or know where else they might be held?

Have you tried searching the UK NA website for the names of the individuals concerned? A number of them have MI 5 name files in KV 2 class list (record group); others in various WO series.

You can make a FOIA (to UK NA) for the files you mention to be returned from the MOD to UK NA but they will be paper files only.
