Re: Bulgarian SS Officers
Good afternoon
I have found on the Internet the grave of this soldier who died on April 26, 1945, and I do not know if it may be the same officer that appears in one of the previous sections, or if it is another.
I show the link:
https://es.findagrave.com/memorial/2117 ... atanassoff
I also found this name, and I don't know if it could be an aspiring officer of Bulgarian origin.
https://es.findagrave.com/memorial/2117 ... f-angeloff
A greeting.

Re: Bulgarian SS Officers
Good afternoon
I add some names, in case they were from this unit, looking for the date Apr 26, 1945 the following appear:
https://es.findagrave.com/memorial/2117 ... -gerganoff
This officer also coincides in name and surname with an officer who appears in the previous sections. However, the following I do not see that they match, and I do not know if they could belong to this unit.
https://es.findagrave.com/memorial/2117 ... azar-daeff
https://es.findagrave.com/memorial/2117 ... -georgieff
https://es.findagrave.com/memorial/2117 ... r-gorinoff
The latter matches the surname with one of the previous officers, but not the name. And the bad thing is that his date of birth is not reflected in any of them.
A greeting.

Re: Bulgarian SS Officers
Several names and surnames appear that also appear to be volunteers of Bulgarian origin, without an officer rank, for example:
Wassil Christoff
Stojan Jeleff Bossoff
Ivan Darsakoff
Petko grueff
In the book "The Romanian National Army: Romanian volunteers in the Waffen-SS: [1944-1945] by Carlos Caballero Jurado and Richard Landwehr, data are collected on the Romanian unit and on the Bulgarian unit of the Waffen-SS, but at least that it reflects, it does not seem that they had gone into combat much, or at least apparently, since it only refers to a fact of several desertion attempts, which led to a confrontation. Volunteers who had tried to desert, but if these are killed in action, which seems to me the most probable, they are enough for such a small unit, let us remember that it was no more than one regiment, and that they acted practically at the end of the fight.
