Hi!

Aperats commanded the 32nd Waffen Grenadier Regiment until 16 July 1944 when he was KIA. Stubaf. Hazners took command of what was left of the Reg. and led it out of encirclement. The survivors of the Reg. were shipped to Germany on 20. August 1944 with Hazners as acting Kdr. Ostubaf. Celle was appointed Kdr.of the re-formed 32nd Waffen Grenadier Regiment on 1. September 1944.

VJK

When I'm correct the full name of Hazners was Vilis-Arvids Hazners.
Does somebody know where he died??(his DoD is 12-5-1989).

And who succeeded Celle??
I've Waffen-Sturmbannführer Fridrichs Rubenis(commander ?? till 3-2-45)and
Waffen-Obersturmbannführer Osvalds Meija(commander 27-3-45 till ??-45).

I also have Waffen-Standartenführer Arvids Kripens(commander 6-44), so he should have succeeded by Aperats when I'm correct.

Helo Juanjo,

Thanks friend, that's already something.
So he went to the States after WW-II and he also died there. I'll put this info in my small bio about him....

Muchas gracias,

Hi Phil!

All I have is that Ostubaf. Celle was sent on a Regimental commander's course in the second week of September 1944, Hstuf. Robežnieks was acting CO for a couple of days before Ostubaf. Mallé took over from him until Celle's return at the beginning of December.

Best regards,

To answer the original question more completely: Hāzners, Vilis Arveds (b. 1905.23.07. Vircavas Ērslaukos, Latvia - d. 1989.12.05. USA).
