WA marcheert
This is the most well known song of the Weer Afdeeling (W.A.) of the NSB.
Many songs were not remembered, but this one , at least the last part; "Gij dietse Gauen, rijkt elkaar de hand . . . . .", was jusr about known to all.
Translation:
There's the sound of footsteps in the streets,
There are boots stomping on the square,
There is a marching song of soldiers,
What kind of warriors could that be?.
And happily sounds it wide and round,
We report to you the new time.
You (Thou) Dutch counties,
extend to each other a hand,
W.A. is marching, W.A. is marching
for the People and Fatherland.

Telefunken recording dates from Hilversum-sessions 1941
Hello all fellow collectors!
Here is Mats N writing to you from Sweden.
I wonder if someone out here on the Forum have some knowledge according to the Telefunken-recordings made in Hilversum approx 1941?
As a true music-collector I'm always searching for the correct recordingdate for all my music. In Hilversum, Telefunken did some great recording-sessions with WA koor Amsterdam, directed by Piet Heins as well as with Nationale Jeugdstorm koor Amsterdam under the direction of A C Wagemaker.
The Telefunken records is from the NSB-Series released in the Telefunken Serie T.
For those who might be able in helping me, I have the matrixnumber for all those records.
Lots of thanks in advice from Mats N in Sweden. New member at the Axis History site from today!

Re: Dutch NS and collaborationist music
A rare photo showing two of the best known authors of Dutch NS and collaborationist music: composer Piet Heins, in uniform of the Dutch SS Legion, and lyricist Jaap van Kersbergen, who together created "De geuzenvendels rukken aan", "Dietschland, ontwaakt", "Het Dietsche Vendel", "Het leger van den arbeid", "Ja, kameraden", "Laatste groet", "Margariet", "Oostlandlied", "Voorwaarts, stormsoldaat", "Weg is weg!" and possibly some more songs.
Also seen in the complete version of the photo, sitting 2nd from the left in the front row, is actor Adriaan van Hees, who composed music for van Kersbergen's "Zwart-rood, waai uit nu!" and "Gereed", and created "Dietschland's Mussert Garde" (and possibly some other songs).
