There's no way of knowing for sure, but it would seem very likely that these men did belong to the Abteilung. The 4. Kp of the Abteilung was the Sturmgeschütz kompanie and there were training courses held for them in Czechoslovakia in October 1944, so the time frame fits.

Here is the little I have on SS-Flak-Abteilung 15. The commander was in fact Rolands Bergs, Artūrs Bergs commanded the I/42 Rgt. and was KIA in April 1944.

Formation begun in March 1943, though the Divisional order was issued only on 25 September 1943.

A very fresh new on a latvian military site. The commander of the Wirtschafts Bataillon 15 was Ostubaf Hugo MICHELSONS.
DoB: 09/11/1893
DoD: 03/10/1960 in Great Britain
Former Lieutenant-Colonel (Pulkvedis-leitnants) of the latvian army.
WWI from 1915 to 1917 on Carpathian front.
former intendant of the 4. Zemgales division.

I have a little information about the 1. San Kp of the 15. Division. My father, Dr. Arturs Egerts (or "Eggerts", as he liked to spell it) was the commander of the 1st Sanitary Company until February 3, 1945, when he was severely wounded. At that point the command of the Company was assumed by his assistant, Dr. Nikolajs Kazners.
Some of this is described in Col. Vilis Janums book "Mana pulka kauju gaitas".
