Unknown Dutch DKiG holders

Post by gunter83 » 28 Feb 2014 15:28

Dear comrades.
Who can ID these Dutch DKiG holders?
source: Newsreel footage of the Dutch
p.s. I think it's same man on both images.
My version is Gerrit Jan Pulles. He was awarded in rank of SS-Untersturmfuhrer. But i'm not sure

Officer in second picture is presumably German (note Medals for 13 March and 1 October 1938- Ostmark & Sudetenland annexations).

Tnx a lot. Again carefully reviewed the footage and found an interesting detail of the officer in the 1st photo.
and i made some another shots of this officer. On the 2nd pic I think it's A. Seyss-Inquart.

I think this footage is around 1943 and there are only a few men of the SS-Pol.Div. who were awarded with the DKiG with a lower rank than SS-Ostuf. before mid 1944, the sitting SS-Ustuf. with the German Medals is probably SS-Ostuf. Karl Labahn. Here you can see that he was awarded with exactly the same medals.

I was looking in the 5th volume in Yerger's "GCiG", but he has no photos. Thank you.

Hello,

Karl Labahn was assigned to SS-Pz.Gr.AuE.Btl.4 on June 1, 1943 Source: Führerliste John Moore Personalakte Labahn

Mark Yerger gives mid 1944 in Gerlman Cross in Gold page 254.

Is it se same man on both pictures in two different moment ?

Regards
Patrick

I actually didn't compare them first but now I did and I would say that it's indeed the same man.

I didn`t think that is the same man. The sitting one has smaller lips.
What kind of decoration was given by Seyss-Inquart on the pic with the "dutch" ?
So my tip : NOT Labahn....

Thats correct, the sitting one is a german. But I asked for the pic of the ribbon bar of the other one, where you had shown the silver Sportbadge (?) given by Seyss-Inquart (?)......

Hello,

Sorry, but your discussions are a little bit confused

I like to know why you are sure that the sitting Ustuf is German?

Another point

The standing up Ustuf Photo 1 wears a sleeve band from Polizei Division.
So I don't understand why you maintain that he is Dutch.

As Hardigan pointed it above, there were very few Ustuf with DKiG from this division , and more, who were assigned in Holland as Labahn.

Patrick

Hello,
not confused: gunter83 asked about "unknown dutch DKiG holder"....his version was Gerrit Jan Pulles, but he was not sure.
He presented a picture of Pulles (?) and another picture with a sitting one officer (?).
hardigan wrote it could be ,the sitting officer is Labahn.( a german, no dutch). Mike wrote german, because ribbon bar (?)....
hardigan wrote that these two persons could be the same.
I would look for the ribbon bar of the "standing" officer, for interest, because that was not shown on picture .
My opinion was, that these officers are not the same because they look different....
I am not sure too, that the "standing" officer was Pulles ....

Take a look at this, same ears, eyes, nose, chin. Only his mouth is moving so this looks different now of course.

Hello Hardigan,
your assumption....I can`t see any cufftitle at the sitting one guy, why do you mean he is a SS-Policemember? And look the uniformstyle is an other .There had been many SS-Officers in Nederland by that time.......
