Re: Indian Legion 1942-1945 photos
Hello!
A week ago I was talking to a 89-year old ex-military as we walked through the old barracks of 'Camp de Beverloo' (nowadays 'Leopoldsburg') in Belgium where I live. The old man said he still kept two original pictures of what he thought were "Indian soldiers". Today we met again and he presented me both pics. They show three soldiers belonging to the Indian Legion (two of them wear the WH-jacket with their sleeve patch visible). The three men wear no turbans, showing their traditional long and uncut hairstyle.
On one picture somebody marked the name of one soldier.
Both pictures were taken here in Leopoldsburg during their training.
Kind regards - Martin

Fantastic photos, Martin, thanks for sharing. You don't see images of German troops looking like Sepultura band members every day.

Ivan

Hi Martinski,
Nice, informal photos. Well done.
Did the old guy explain how he came by the photos?
Cheers,
Sid.
