Some SS „Skanderbeg“ photos-infos

Hello everyone! :)

As some of you know I’m very active in the Some SS “Handschar” photo-infos topic but I didn’t find any mentionable Skanderbeg topic here on the forum. Now here you can post and discuss “Skanderbeg” Division photos. I’m gonna start with two. Enjoy and be respectful.

Hi balkanguy44

The information on the second photo (that it was allegedly taken in Pristina in April 1944) does not have a competent source for this statement. The recruiting centers were located in many cities of Kosovo, and the source of this photo does not indicate the location of the survey (NARA). In turn, in the book of Franziska Zaugg there is an intended location for shooting this series of shots.

Actual sources: 1) ECPAD 2) NARA, via SS-Kriegsberichter Archive.

Hello Ivan and DFolov1992,

Thanks for the information and correct sources - I couldn’t track back the original sources. I used the webpage where I found them as source.
Cheers,
