Poles in SS Galizien

Hi, I've heared, that in 14 SS Grenadier Division served not only Ukrainians, but Poles too. Are there any informations about it? How many Poles served?

Hi Mannet,

I can confirm that i have come across at least two Polish persons that served in Galicia division (I am sure there were many more). One person that I know has willingly volutneered - he was friends with many Ukrainians, so when all his friends volunteered, he volunteered too. Scroll down this link - you will find his photo. If you read this topic till the very end, you will find one more Pole in Galicia division, he even had an officer rank, I also mention Polish kids in SS Flakhelpers:
