Kaj Munk was a danish poet. Rather rightist, he became hostile to the nazis and the German forces.
He was killed in 1944. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaj_Munk
Here viewtopic.php?f=51&t=176120&p=1855388&h ... k#p1855388 it is said that the danish collaborator Henning Brondum was responsible of the killing.
But in his danish wiki page https://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henning_Br%C3%B8ndum many murders are linked to him but it is not question of Kaj Munk.
Dr Barandon was the right arm of Werner Best in Denmark between 1942 and 1944. He said during his interrogation in 1945 https://lawcollections.library.cornell. ... ur:00845_5 that the assassination of Kaj Munk was realized by special commando sent from Berlin.
Kaj Munk wiki page says that :
It quotes Shirer... But Shirer (Rise and fall, p.1247 https://archive.org/details/B-001-013-7 ... q=kaj+munk) does not say so, but rather that :The Gestapo arrested Munk on the night of 4 January 1944, a month after he had defied a Nazi ban and preached the first Advent sermon at the national cathedral in Copenhagen. Munk's body was found in a roadside ditch in rural Hørbylunde near Silkeborg the next morning with a note stating "Swine, you worked for Germany just the same."[4]
Munk body was found with such a libel. It was in order to put the blame on the communists, following the Hitler's strategy : kill the resistants and put trouble among them. Thus the great Danish pastor-poet-playwright, Kaj Munk, one of the most beloved men in Scandinavia, was brutally murdered by the Germans, his body left on the road with a sign pinned to it: “Swine, you worked for Germany just the same.”
