For Milan: Hungarian Gendarmerie

#1

Post by sylvieK4 » 30 May 2002, 16:27

This is for Milan, or anyone else who interested in the Hungarian military.

Do you have any information about the Hungarian Gendarmerie during the Second World War?

Do you know where there are photographs of Hungarian Gendarmes in uniform, or can anyone post some here?

I am also looking for information about the Gendarm Officer, Laszlo Ferency, and his adjutant, Captain Leo Lullay. Photos and personal information (dates of birth, record of service, death date, etc.) if anyone can help.

Thank you.

I haven't got too much photos for Gendarmes uniform.

(common source)
Gendarmes of connecting without Jews law was Laszlo Ferenczy. He manages the
Jew deportations.

(other source)
When he ascertain the "Auschwitz record", begin the protest. That time HORTHY sopped the deportations. After HORTHY, when SZALASI been on authority (arrow-cross party), FERENCZY devise an agreement and SZALASI accept it. (SZALASI not want kill Jews, only settle out from Hungary.) The agreement: SZALASI spoke with RAOUL WALLENBERG Swedish ambassador, lots of Jews of Budapest get Swedish citizenship, in exchange Sweden acknowledge the SZALASI Hungary. SZALASI want connect the west countries, because want of then help for fight against Russians. SZALASI protest the deportation, he sad, need for Hungary the Jew in the army like worker (sap, etc.). FERENCZY devise, make a gendarme, who champion the Jews from atrocities, who has got Swedish, Swiss, etc. document. SZALASI allowed that.
