I know all about the many minorities who were press-ganged into the SS when they could not get enough volunteers. I know all about the general inefectiveness of such Units and the mass desertions and even mutinies they had. I know they were officialy graded as 'second class' SS Units. I know that these 'volunteers' are constantly cited as 'proof' of the all embracing every man equal ethos of The SS. I also know such equality was a load of rubbish. This latest post is just another attempt to portray the SS in a good light. 'Look lots of races served and they all were treated as brothers' Garbage, pure and simple.
It shows the idiotic nature of such beliefs when second hand information from a source far from impartial is magnified to suggest crack Tibetan SS Grenadiers fought to the last man defending their Ayran brothers from the excesses of the 'Communistic Hordes' as they raped and pillaged their way through the Reich. Tartars sold their lives dearly to protect the virtue of German motherhood. Armed only with Mogol bows they wiped out 2 T-34 Regiments they caught refueling-Oops sorry, got quite carried away there! Well you know the rest.......................

So what about French and GB's colonial troops fighting in Europe, all of them Arabs, Indians and Africans just must have been volunteers and loving the dying for their colonial master, right? And same goes for African-Americans..

As surely the "good civilized" nations treated all humans as their equals, with equal rights.. right? Ooops.. sorry it didnt really go that way..

Seriously Michael, you need to ease on that Germanofobia of yours and "take a look in the mirror".. if you catch my meaning..

But at least you got that right, too bad the perpetrators havent yet been punished.

It is not Germanphobia but SS phobia. All this rubbish about millions flocking to the banner of National Socialism to fight communism grates after a while. An evil and totaly inhuman organisation is lauded as some super efficient fighting machine. Held up as a model when in fact it is to be pitied. It really is funny to see the myth of 'volunteers of all nations and colours' advanced on far-right forums when the self same posters would rather die than admit these 'inferior' races are their equal.
Oh and as for 'look in the mirror', well I am Irish and have nothing to explain away in my 'past'.

Well not as 'equals' maybe, but at least they considered them human, unlike the SS.

I think this discussion has gone far enough off-topic now, and seeing as information on Tibetans defending the Reichstag is not likely to surface I am closing the thread. Anyone wishing to open a new thread on the "brotherly love and ethnic/religious tolerance within the United Nations of the SS" is welcome to do so.
